WELCOME TO THE URZEITHOF

The natural history exhibition at the Urzeithof Museum in Stolpe invites visitors on an extraordinary journey through millions of years of Earth’s history. From the very beginnings of our planet to the Ice Age.

Set within the Ice Age–shaped lake landscape of Schleswig-Holstein, science, aesthetics, and industrial heritage come together to create a unique experience for explorers of all ages.

Here, the past comes alive.

Our display cases are much more than simple glass boxes.
In the black-themed exhibition, we deliberately combine the exhibits with elements of the steampunk style. Warm metal tones and mechanical details create an atmosphere inspired by the fantastic novels of Jules Verne in the style of the 19th century, in which the original fossils are impressively showcased. A setting in which the past and fantasy merge, always in balance and without obscuring the scientific significance of the exhibits.

Mobility Access

Our museum is designed to accommodate all visitors, also with limited mobility, so that everyone can experience the journey through the history of the Earth.

After visiting the museum, children can search for real fossils at our fossil site and collect small gemstones in our sand area.

Workshops, fairs, and markets complement our offerings and make a visit to the Urzeithof Museum an experience for the whole family.
