The Urzeithof would like to convey natural history knowledge, about the history of the earth and evolution, in an easily accessible way and also take children and young people with them into the exciting world of fossils and minerals.
Protecting objects from decay and preserving them for future generations is one of the primary tasks of a museum.
To convey education in an understandable way and to show natural history knowledge, about the development of life and the changes in biodiversity, in a lively way that can be understood by all generations, even beyond the analog possibilities, are elementary components of our museum work.
Today, the Urzeithof has more than 100 collections from private estates, which, together with the collection created by Katrin Mohr, form the basis for the exhibition and archive work.
